For the second week in a row, a massive parlay hit at the William Hill Sportsbook in Las Vegas. Last week a bettor turned $4,000 into $442,643.40 on a seven-leg parlay and this week another bettor took home $704,072 on a 10-leg, $40,000 ticket. Don’t Be Afraid. Parlays are a wonderful way to turn a small stake into a juicy.

A bettor from Nevada won $9,676 during the weekend after hitting a 10-team parlay on Ukrainian table tennis via a William Hill mobile sports betting app, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal. 5-Leg NFL Parlay for $250,000. In 2017 an MGM bettor in Las Vegas decided to put down a wager on a 5-leg parlay that featured 4 favorites (Ravens, Patriots, Chiefs, and Raiders) and concluded with the Detroit Lions. Unlike the previous parlay, there was quite a bit of money placed on this one, $8,500, but the payout was huge. Earlier this week, one William Hill Sportsbook bettor struck it big when he won nearly $25,000 on a 10-leg Russian table tennis parlay. The bettor only wagered $100 on the parlay.

Parlay betting allows horseplayers to bet the races they want, their way. Since your Parlay races don’t have to be consecutive on the card, you can identify the horses you want to bet no matter the race they’re in. Plus, you can alternate between Win, Place and Show bets, so you can build your Parlay based on how strongly you feel about each horse. Plus, parlay wagering is the only way to roll over all of your winnings to the next bet – even the pennies. So you really are betting every penny.

My preferred Parlay betting approach is to build a Parlay around my day’s ‘best bets,’ especially when they’re racing later in the card. Start a small ($10 or $20) five-leg parlay and make the first four legs Show bets on lower-priced horses. Then close it to a Win bet on the horse you like most. You just might be able to parlay your $10 or $20 base bet into a $50 or $100 Win bet on your horse just by making a series of Show bets. And if you lose along the way, you’re only out your starting amount. But if you win, you could be looking at a very nice payout.

A parlay is a single bet that links together two or more individual wagers for a high payout. A 2 team parlay might pay 13/5, a three team parlay might pay 6/1, a four team parlay might pay 10/1, and so forth with the payouts getting higher with more teams or totals selected. For a single bet, 2 to 8 teams or totals can be selected.

In order for the parlay bet to win, every one of the wagers must win or push (tie). If any of the selections lose, your wager loses, regardless of the outcome or cancellation of the other games. If one or more selections is a tie, postponed, incomplete, cancelled or rescheduled for another day, then the wager reverts to the next lowest number. For example, if you place a 5 team parlay and have 4 winners and a tie, your wager pays out as a 4 team parlay. If you place a 2 team parlay and one team wins and one ties, the wager becomes a straight bet.

The resulting wager will have the same risk amount with the win being calculated to reflect the odds of the remaining team (Example: On a two team $100 parlay with team A +110 and team B -110 if A ties and B wins the resulting wager will be a straight play on B risking $100 to win $91).
